Chamomile

Chamomile Floral Waters are typically distilled from the flowers of the chamomile plant, and there are two primary species used for this purpose: Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) and German Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla).

Roman Chamomile is a low-growing perennial plant with feathery leaves and white, daisy-like flowers that have a sweet, fruity aroma. It is native to Western Europe and is commonly grown in France, Spain, and Italy.

German Chamomile, on the other hand, is an annual plant with fern-like leaves and small, white flowers that have a slightly bitter, herbaceous scent. It is native to Europe and western Asia and is widely cultivated in central and eastern Europe, as well as in North America.

Both species of chamomile are used to make floral waters, which are a by-product of the essential oil distillation process. Chamomile floral waters are popular for their calming, soothing properties and are often used in aromatherapy, skincare, and other natural remedies.
