Deviates from subsp. glauca in the following characters: Leaves larger and only 1; bifid, 9–11-nerved, 7–9 cm long. Petiole shorter, 1–2(–3) cm. Inflorescence larger. Buds hairy as well as the 2.5–3 cm long receptacle (longer than the pedicel). Flowers slightly larger. Thailand, Burma (type), Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and S.
